Sara and Nathan, engaged!//04.15.13

Many many moons ago, I met Sara’s sister Nadja and her friends. We met up for a whole day of pictures, and had our first boudoir party. The party was held at Nadja’s beautiful hill-top property here in Duvall WA, where we both live.

Then, I thought man, this would be the PERFECT spot for a wedding.

A few years later, Nadja emails me to shoot her sister Sara and Sara’s fiance Nathan’s wedding this summer.

Guess where the wedding’s at? I am so excited to be part of this day!

Sara, Nathan and I spent a sunny Sunday morning at Queen Anne’s Parsons Gardens for their engagement pictures. Just look at how cute these two are.

Lissa and Casey wed at the Georgetown Ballroom//03.10.13

Last fall, a man decided to propose.

And he did.

And she said yes.

And then, they were wed.

What more can I say Lissa and Casey? You have style. You have class. You have Jackson, the most beautiful boy child in the world.

And now you have each other.

Congrats. May your days be filled with love, laughter and friendship, until the Harlem Shake returns in vogue once again.

These pictures make me long for summer! I had so much fun shooting Ginny and Shawn’s engagement portraits, and their sweet son Jackson, at a local roots stand in Duvall. Virginia and Shawn will be wed at the beautiful Novelty Hill Januik winery in Woodinville next year, one of my favorite wedding venues in Washington wine country

Bridal Portraits: Mary-Ann and Bruce//10.19.12

So most of you know I went home to Malaysia this summer to visit with family, and also to shoot a wedding. In Malaysia, the tradition is to do bridals or what they call pre-wedding sessions, where the bride and groom get all dressed up in their wedding attire and head out for pictures.

The engagement shoot was organized by my dear friend Sherly Aziz of Tie the Knot, a premier Malaysian wedding planner, at the Bukit Nanas Convent Girl School.

I had so much fun doing this. Thanks SO much for trusting me with your big day, Mary-Ann and Bruce, and for hiring me sight unseen! It was a great opportunity for me to go home AND shoot a full wedding.
