An American Spanish Experience at JM Cellars and Weddings in Woodinville
Jan 27th – my first wedding show, at Weddings in Woodinville.
What an experience it was. The food, the color, the smells, the music, the people.
The theme was Amor Alegre ~ Joyous Love
The intimate gathering places and beautiful natural surroundings of JM Cellars, inspires our creation of a wedding theme reminiscent of the historic Spanish settlements of California. Central to our inspiration is the importance of family and community, and the rich traditions passed down through generations. Our colors, a mixture of browns, ambers, saffron and sapphire blue, are used throughout the ceremony, and reception areas. Textiles, as well as old world glass and pottery artfully display the use of culinary herbs, vines, and olive branches. A grand communal table under a custom designed gilted chandelier, offers elegance amid the intimacy of a roving Spanish guitarist.
Thanks for inviting me, Melody. It was a huge privilege.
JM Cellars is the perfect size for a romantic and intimate getaway wedding right here in Washington wine country.
These beautiful lamps were lovingly collected and recreated by Beckie McCann of Vintage Ambiance, to form this unique hanging garden of lights.
This alcove made by JM’s barrels of carefully aged wines was a favorite among guests. How could they have resisted?
A delicious Crostini spread by Deru Market & Catering – all local, all organic.
The dream team: Melanie Benson Floral, Vintage Ambiance’s Beckie McCann and Melody Davis of MG Davis Events. This breathtaking reception head table design was their creation and collaboration. AA Party Rentals provided the exquisite dinner settings.
Cakes from Midori Bakery, the Eastside’s only complete wedding bakery, offering customized cakes, desserts, and favors.
Fine letterpress menus and wedding stationeries by Swash Press + Design – with whom I shared a cold but beautiful barrel room!
Look at those arrangements! I could die. Melanie Benson, you are a true artist!
Melody handmade those chair pillows! The lengths she will go to to make your wedding unique 🙂
I confess – I LOVE SEAFOOD and when Melody told me there would be an oyster cart, I was secretly hoping it would be right next to me. Well, it was close enough 🙂 Taylor Shellfish provided some succulent, fresh oysters, professionally shucked by Kevin here. Hope you can still feel your fingers, Kev!
Just look at the exquisite letterpress work. I love you guys, Julie of Swash Press + Design!
Yes, there was s’mores! Which made JM Cellars the perfect venue at which to end the day.
Tangerines for the ceremony chairs? Love!
Sam Day, live painter and mean alto belter. He makes what I do seem lazy and amateurish 🙂 Yes, he paints LIVE at your wedding. And that’s what he did yesterday, while filling the room with his wonderful voice.
DERU Market and Catering’s scrumptious Crostini bar. It was all I could do not to hang out there all day!
Cakes and desserts from Midori Bakery.
And of course, fine wines from JM Cellars!
Veraci Pizza while being serenaded by the romantic accordion musical stylings of Harold Belskus and Friends. What could be better?
And in the bridal room, were the delicate pieces from Charms, Chains and Crystals.
Before we knew it, dusk settled and JM Cellars took on a whole other look.
I can’t decide if it looks better in the day or in the night time!
Once again, my utmost gratitude for the chance to be in the company of such creative and hard working people. Here’s the full list of vendors at JM Cellars that you NEED to get in touch with for the wedding of your dreams at Washington’s most romantic winery venue 🙂
