When Erica, the sister of a former bride of mine, inquired over email whether or not I’d travel to Sydney, Australia, to document her romantic seaside wedding – guess what I said?
I didn’t say much.
I was a blithering fool, nodding at an email.
HELL YES I WILL?! What sort of question is that?
My parents moved to Sydney years ago, and my sister and her family have been there a while. Not only was it a chance to shoot the wedding of a treasured client, it was also a chance to visit my loved ones. DONE, in a heartbeat!
Erica and Chris got a beautiful Airbnb by the beach near their venue. Chris grew up here and showed us around all his old haunts. He also worked alongside his best man David as volunteer lifeguards on the beach where he and Erica were wed as their loved ones watched on.
Thanks so much for putting your trust in me and my studio, Erica and Chris. Thank you for this opportunity to see my family (I don’t get to very often!) and to have these memories!
