Planning a wedding for the spring here in the Pacific Northwest is a little bit of a gamble, but Angela and Sheng’s romantic wedding at Chateau Lill was just perfect. It had a little bit of everything – cherry blossoms, sunshine and even a warm spring breeze! Of course, all of this made for an even more lovely day at the always breathtaking Chateau Lill.
Sheng and Angela met online through the dating website OK cupid.
“We miraculously actually had a mutual friend in common through Facebook. I, of course, had discretely asked her about him prior to moving on to the second date!” said Angela.
How did they decide to have their wedding at Chateau Lill?
“We picked Chateau Lill because it’s intimate, private and of course, those beautiful grounds and gardens. Sheng was the one that actually put his foot down and made the final decision. We also were relieved that there was the chateau that we could use as Plan B for an inside ceremony in case it rained- I really didn’t want to get married in a white tent!”
What was Angela and Sheng’s favorite part of their wedding?
“Looking out during the reception while speeches were being made and seeing all of the wonderful family and friends that have supported and loved us during our journey,” said Angela.
Here are some tips on wedding planning from Angela:
• Decide on a budget and stick to it. Decide on things that are non-negotiable and other areas that are willing to be compromised in order to meet your budget.
• Have a wedding planner or family member take charge as “day of coordinator”
• On the wedding day itself, don’t stress about how things will go, just enjoy every moment of it!
