Anna and Walter’s Seattle Asian Art Museum Wedding was a celebration to behold! Picking their perfect venue was the first step, and with a vision that’s minimalist yet vibrant, their wedding day vision came to life with the help of their wonderful vendors.
They started their big day getting ready at the hidden gem Shafer Ballie Mansion just a few minutes away from Volunteer Park. I didn’t even know this was here! A beautiful historic property that I am excited to get to know better.
Thank you vendor team for the flawless collaboration!

The Seattle Asian Art Museum, located in the heart of Volunteer Park, is a celebrated cultural landmark that showcases the beauty and diversity of Asian art and culture. Originally opened in 1933 and housed in an elegant Art Deco-style building, the museum underwent a major renovation and expansion in 2020, seamlessly blending historic charm with contemporary design. Surrounded by lush greenery and offering sweeping views of Seattle, the museum provides an inspiring and serene environment for visitors.
Inside, the museum features an impressive collection of artworks spanning thousands of years, including sculptures, paintings, textiles, ceramics, and decorative objects from China, Japan, Korea, India, and Southeast Asia. Exhibitions are carefully curated to highlight both traditional craftsmanship and modern artistic expressions, fostering a deeper understanding of Asia’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. Interactive exhibits and multimedia installations further enhance the visitor experience, offering fresh perspectives on timeless works.
The museum is also a popular venue for events, including weddings, offering elegant spaces such as the Fuller Garden Court and Stimson Auditorium. With its tranquil surroundings and vibrant exhibits, the Seattle Asian Art Museum is not only a cultural treasure but also a meaningful place to explore, celebrate, and connect with Asian art and history.
