I spent an afternoon recently with Robert and Wilson before Christmas last year at their beautiful mid-century home in Bellevue, documenting their at-home engagement portraits. They made brunch, taught me how to make the raddest french toast with some Balocco Panettone raisin bread you can get from Costco, and chatted about family, about how they met and fell in love, and are now planning their wedding at Columbia Winery this August.
I cannot tell you how long I’ve waited to document a gay Chinese wedding. Rumor has it that they are even wilder, louder than your average Chinese wedding. I can hardly wait!
Robert and Wilson getting to work on their brunch. These guys have a really beautiful mid-century home they both restored and decorated together.
Robert swears by the Balocco Panettone raisin bread for french toast!
Baking bacon is the way to go. My husband would approve!
In his excitement Wilson dropped all the blueberries. Ten second rule! Maybe 20…
Mascarpone cheese on Panettone raisin french toast – yum!
Robert and Wilson have a very easy-going chemistry that made taking their at-home engagement portraits a breeze. And with their happy, full tummies, we were all relaxed and joking for some natural laughs. I didn’t even have to try and be funny!
