When I received Anna and Kevin’s inquiry August of last year, I didn’t know she was the daughter of my colleague and friend Julie of Bella Rugosa, only one of Seattle’s best floral designers. She never said anything in her email.
When we met for their consult and this info surfaced, I was more than a little surprised. I was tremendously flattered and honored. I’ve worked with Julie several times and love her friendship. Always humble and loathe to draw attention to herself, Julie never even told me she’d referred her own daughter to me. Right there and then I knew I wanted very much to be Anna and Kevin’s wedding photographer. In my heart, I was hoping and wishing they’d hire me. A few weeks later, when Anna and Kevin signed their paperwork, I did a little happy dance. Confidence soared to an all time high since and excitement was off the charts because Anna, like her mom, is a floral designer as well and I just know their wedding at Kiana Lodge out in Poulsbo, Washington, would be one for the books!
Thank you for putting your trust in me, Anna and Kevin! I really am chomping at the bit to see all the details you guys have planned but mostly I am excited to celebrate your obvious love for each other, and to watch your mom party down!
